24 July 2024 thought politics quote
Was squinting my eyes real hard reading the first entry in the Monocle Minute this morning:
Harris has a penchant for jargon, a dismal record in attempting to secure the US’s southern border and has become embroiled in identity politics. She is a candidate for those who swoon over progressive politics. But many don’t.
These are the words of someone trying to push a narrative. It wasn’t that long ago that people said she was too hard on crime as a prosecutor.
And when I got to the end, surprise surprise, it was from a NY Post columnist. Gross.
I don’t read the Minute enough to know if this is something they do often. I’m all for presenting both sides, but pushing a narrative like this feels unlike Monocle.
