✖︎I don’t pay too much attention to F1 and it sounds like there have been ties there for awhile, but this stunned me.

✖︎Really cool project where Riley is painting one playing card from a deck every week of the year. Really beautiful. This specific post has text about the project, but they are all great so far.

✖︎Didn’t actually read this… just posting to say, why “finally”? While they are far and few between, I do think there are interesting applications of AI and this isn’t really one of them given how many already exist, especially when you factor in Google’s infiite resources to do something new.

✖︎Excited for this. Hopefully it helps educate a couple people along the way.

✖︎Terrific stuff 😜. Should’ve included an image to help the ranks though.

✖︎Oh boy, new Dehd album incoming! 2022’s Blue Skies was one of my favorites so I can’t wait for this, coming 10 May.

✖︎Really excited to see how this endeavor goes. Enjoyed both pieces today and look forward to many more.

✖︎I’m not sure how I feel about things of different importance coming into a single stream without any discenrable difference. I’d love to see someone crack that in terms of presenting microposts, blog posts, images, etc. with different weight across the stream.

✖︎Pretty cool to see people from Starcraft II and Warcraft III launching a new RTS. Hopefully this can be the start of something new given the (potential) fall of Blizzard. I lived in WCIII custom games growing up.

✖︎If Bedard isn’t playing, they might as well lose every game to grab that number one pick again.

✖︎Their focus on search with their mobile app isn’t really what I was hoping for. With that being said, it still functions fine as the default browser and the ”Browse for Me” creates some nice looking results.

✖︎Far-UV may be largely safe on human bodies, but it also created air pollution—substantial air pollution.
This is really cool stuff to vastly reduce airborne illness, if the studies into the air pollution can prove not to be too bad. Getting far-UV into grocery stores still feels like it’d be a big win.

✖︎Nice review of my favorite release from last week.

✖︎Class dismissed! Namaste—and fuck off.
Some delightful imagery here.

✖︎Wow. Did not see this coming. Especially considering this is one of the best squads he’s had (despite the injuries). Hopefully he does out with a bang. Xabi Alonso seems to be the favorite to replace him.

✖︎Oh boy, wait until the idiots on Twitter hear about Roberto the Builder.

✖︎The Anti-Social Social Network for Minimalists.
Fascinating. It only lets you post via an e-mail subject line. I don’t need another place to post in my life, but if I did…

✖︎While I’d still like some of my non-artist Internet friends to take a crack at drawing a Grub (yes, I’m looking at you), I’ve started collecting artists I’ve found through Mastodon that I’d eventually like to reach out to as well.

✖︎This is a really cool calendar timeline, note-taking concept. Wish I could get my hands on it…

✖︎Just when I think I’ve escaped, they pull me back in… Not sure I’ll actually go back, but the Border theme, Folder Notes, and Omnivore plug-in (if I stick with Omnivore) are all really nice.

✖︎Thinking about starting an interview series for my media newsletter. It’d be in the vein of Manuel’s People & Blogs, but more in the style of EDC/Desk set-up blogs. It’d go into how you discover, consume, and interact with movies, shows, albums, etc. Anyone interested in participating?

✖︎This is the kind of thing that I hope we get more of out of the AI wave. Doesn’t take itself too seriously, just a fun idea with some nice nostalgic industrial design.
24 January 2024
✖︎This is awesome! First episode will be 12 Feb and go through the election. I hope, as an Executive Producer, he helps revamp the show a bit outside of just his Monday episodes too.

✖︎Off Panel is the best comic book interview podcast full stop. This episode is a little different and special as David Harper interviews his wife about her POV as a non-comic book reader and gets her to read a few.
