Downey Jr. and his wife and producing partner Susan Downey are set to executive produce a live-action adaptation of Sweet Tooth, a Vertigo comic series about human/animal hybrids set in a post-apocalyptic world.
This is awesome news. Sweet Tooth was one of the first non-super hero books I read monthly from start to finish. It was a wonderful story and could make a great tv show.
Imagine a grainy, post-apocalyptic, Wes Anderson mash-up and you get the vibe. If they are able to nail it, it could be awesome. Let’s hope they don’t fuck this up.
