I think I saw a trailer for this before the Joker last week, but nothing about it really caught my eye. Maybe I just wasn’t paying attention enough. Because this trailer looks stunning. Guy Ritchie is fine, I don’t know that anything he’s done has really stood at a high level, but some of the tracking shots and camera movements in the trailer look quite effective.
However, what really stands out is Hugh Grant playing a role like nothing he’s ever done before, plus an entire cast of fantastic actors, Jeremy Strong among them. We only get a couple quick glimpses of Strong in this trailer, but I’m really hoping he plays a more prominent role in the film.
