I usually only like to post things I like, am excited for, or find interesting/amusing. I’m breaking that rule for how disappointing I think Will Smith as Genie is going to be. I don’t know who thought this was a good idea. And there’s a chance it could ruin the whole movie, which would be a shame given the representation inherent in Aladdin, which studios could’ve easily whitewashed.
Here’s to hoping it can overcome the horror that is Will Smith as Genie.
