I mildly enjoyed listening to the first season of Homecoming from Gimlet Media. I didn’t find it earth-shattering or really expect it to get turned into a television show, but there were enough interesting tidbits throughout to see the avenues they could take a show down.
However, even though I was lukewarm on the podcast, I’m super excited for this show. Mostly for the fact Sam Esmail is directing. Based on the small sampling this trailer, it looks like he succeeded in bringing an interesting and unique perspective with his stylized direction.
