I tweeted a link to this trailer last week, but even if you have already seen it, it is worth a second look. This is a movie I have been looking forward to for quite some time now, especially after being thoroughly impressed with Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Birdman.
Having Iñárritu direct Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy in a naturally lit film is a beautiful concept from the start. With *Birdman’s” single take effect and now The Revenant being shot in natural light, seeing Iñárritu take his films in interesting directions like this is great for the art of filmmaking.
This trailer does not disappoint either. The landscape shots, action takes, and camera tracking all add up to an absolutely stunning trailer. Here is to hoping it does not disappoint.
