This is complete bullshit. Itās always been about consolidation so they can charge more and produce less. Maybe they pump out thirty the first year, but it will trickle down until itās no different than today.

Good list/resource for things you can do around various giant conglomerates who have influence over the administration and/or are enablers of ICE. I think my Apple One subscription is the only place Iām still subscribedāand I had a lifelong vendetta against FedExābut Spotify is suspiciously absent from this listā¦ While the ad campaign ended at the end of last year, it doesnāt sound like it was Spotifyās choice to stop taking the money from ICE and Ek is still heavily invested in Helsingā¦

My motivation throughout the ups and downs was not that Are.na would one day make me rich, it was that we had to keep Are.na alive because it, the service itself, was part of how I understood (and still understand) myself.
One of the best things Iāve read in awhile. Loved the Kinopio shout-out too. While not software, the sites Iāve been spinning up like this, Foofaraw, the upcoming Quotidian Bagatelle, and maybe one other come from a similar place of wanting to bootstrap the things I want to see in the world.
