Aspiring novelists can now post manuscripts on the Black List, where they can potentially get discovered by the literary agents, editors and publishers who subscribe to the site.

I wonder if the Black List still has the same impact it once did in Hollywood since mid-budget movies just don’t exist anymore. I do think this sort of thing could work for fiction in discovering new voices though.
