I am super excited to see Cary Fukunaga direct another show. True Detective season 1 was fantastic, mostly because of him and Matthew McConaughey. No offense to Woody Harrelson, who was also great, and Nic Pizzolatto, who wrote both of the first two seasons, but I think history has shown some of the magic of season 1 left with Fukunaga.
This trailer captures the magic I remember from True Detective S1, but with a much different feel.
