One of my favorite things about the end of the year is the year-end best of lists. Now, it does get out of hand sometimes with so many lists, but it’s fun to do. I love making my top ten lists at the end of the year.
With that being said, the absolute best example of this is the 10x album lists created by a number of designers. They’ve done it for a few years, but 2016 was the first year I remember seeing it.
Every year, a bunch of designers make their top ten album lists and redesign the album covers, counting down from ten to one for ten straight days.
It’s a fantastic way to discover music you missed, while also discovering designers you might have never heard of. Joining the fray this year are two designers I’ve followed on the interwebs for a little bit already, Frank Chimero and Zipeng Zhu.
They are just over halfway through the top ten, but it’s never too late to check it out.
