Initially, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to share this here because I’m completely tired of the over-saturation of Deadpool in the comics at the moment. To go along with that I thought they completely missed what they were going for in the first part. However, there were some great parts to bear witness to.
More thoughts after the video:
As the trailer starts out, they try for a serious tone, because let’s face it, cancer isn’t the greatest punchline. However, from the few seconds we get, they never commit to that serious tone, nor do they try to infuse any worthwhile humor in it. They just fall in this in-between state. Hopefully in the full sequence it comes across better.
The jokes do get better and I can already tell this is going to be the film to really put T.J. Miller on the map. Yes, I know he is on Silicon Valley, and he has been in quite a few things, but from the two lines they showed us, which I can only assume were improvised, his role is going to be fantastic.
